2018 CYD Flyer


Letter-sized flyers are distributed to all DOE and Private Schools on Oahu, Public Libraries, and various local organizations that help support the promotion of the Children and Youth Day event. It provides highlights of the event.


The first 500 people to also present this flyer at the Oh Baby! Family Expo at the Blaisdell Box Office on Sunday, October 7, 2018 will receive one FREE admission ticket courtesy of CYD! Act 30 of 1997 was passed to dedicate the entire month of October as Children and Youth Month in Hawai‘i. In celebration, we organize all keiki friendly free events available in the month of October, including the Children and Youth Day event, and list them in chronological order. All events are also listed on our website calendar.

Hawaii Early Learning Needs Assessment: 2017 Summary Report

This report provides a state-wide assessment of the early learning system for children birth through age five and focuses on childcare and preschool centers, family childcare homes, and family-child interaction learning programs. The study was conducted in partnership with the University of Hawaii Center on the Family with funding from the Samuel N. and Mary Castle Foundation.



Family Leave Insurance for Hawaii Summary Report

This report summarizes the findings of the U.S. Department of Labor research into how a family leave insurance program could be best implemented in Hawaii.

Volunteer Hospitality (VH) Meal Pre-Orders


Group pre-orders are now being accepted up until Monday September 24, 2018 at which time the form will close. Pre-ordering your group meals for delivery provides many benefits that also streamlines the VH process. You or a representative must provide meal ticket(s) at time of delivery as confirmation of receipt in order to receive your meals, whether delivery or carry-out at Tent #6.
